Claudia Muschio, Italian soprano, graduated with honors from the “G. Frescobaldi” Conservatory in Ferrara. She is currently a soloist at the Staatsoper Stuttgart, where she has brought to life a wide range of leading roles, including Amina in La sonnambula, Adina in L’elisir d’amore, Nannetta in Falstaff, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Morgana in Alcina, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, and Le Feu / La Princesse in L’enfant et les sortilèges.
Since 2018, Claudia has been a frequent guest at the Rossini Opera Festival, where she made her debut as La Contessa di Folleville in Il viaggio a Reims, followed by Fanny in La cambiale di matrimonio and Rosalia in L’equivoco stravagante. Her international appearances also include the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Opéra de Limoges, Oper Frankfurt, and Opéra Royal de Wallonie.
In 2023, her portrayal of Adina in L’elisir d’amore earned her double recognition from Opernwelt magazine, which nominated her as both “Best Singer of the Year” and “Best Young Singer of the Year”. That same year, she made her debut at the New National Theatre Tokyo as Amina in La sonnambula, under the baton of Maurizio Benini.
In the 2024/25 season, Claudia will make her role debut as Gilda in Rigoletto at the Staatsoper Stuttgart. In spring 2025, she will appear at the Philharmonie de Paris as the soprano soloist in Donizetti’s Requiem, conducted by Speranza Scapucci.
In the 2025/26 season, Claudia Muschio returned to the Staatasoper Stuttgart for several major engagements, including her role debut as the Vixen in a new production of Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen, a performance that earned her the cover of OpernWelt magazine’s January 2026 issue. She also will make her debut as Soeur Constance in a new production of Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites.
In October 2026, she will return to the New National Theatre Tokyo to sing the role of Donna Fiorilla in a new production of Rossini's Il turco in Italia.
