Welcome to the official website
 of the Italian soprano

Claudia Muschio

"While fully conveying the feeling of the lyrics in her native language, she sang her uncontrollable joy by rolling small notes at an overwhelming speed with her coloratura vocal technique, and in the lamenting scene, she sang a sorrowful ultra-high note that cut through even the powerful chorus, impressing the audience with her solid ability that exceeds her reputation. You can see her fresh appearance as she lives the role of Amina and hear her unique singing voice. Along with her glamorous presence befitting the heroine, her delicate acting and physical movements like an actress also add depth to the drama."

"Claudia Muschio’s Amina was phenomenal. This young Italian soprano, having recently debuted in the same role at the Staatsoper Stuttgart to great acclaim, enamoured the audience with the lyricism and warmth of her beautifully controlled voice and exquisite messa di voce (a gradual crescendo and decrescendo on a long, sustained note). Her “Sovra il sen la man mi posa” in Act 1 was utterly delightful, and her sotto voce “Elvino… Elvino…” in the sleepwalking scenes mesmerizing. Muschio was also a very engaging actress: her complete absorption of the role in all its emotional complexity was captivating. In the gripping last scene, she sang her two grand arias from a high platform on a church-like building: one simply could not take one’s eyes off her"

Opera Today - La Sonnambula, NNT Tokyo

“Claudia Muschio, who sang Amina, is still a young singer, but her vocal technique is firm, there is maturity in the tone and the volume of her voice. Her best moment was the scene and the aria "Ah non credea mirarti", whose voice dominated the silent theatre.”

Opera Actual - La Sonnambula, NNT Tokyo

“Claudia Muschio fits admirably into a show that one would think was made for her; she tackles the difficulties of the role without trembling, as comfortable in vocalization as in pianissimi notes, capable of lightening the voice as well as asserting herself in powerful and precise high notes, and all this without ever sacrificing the music to the theater nor theater to music.”

"Claudia Muschio as the vixen carries the movements of the animal in her body, yet she is also a Carmen, a strong, self-confident woman. That is exactly how she acts and sings - brilliantly."

Oper Magazin

"Claudia Muschio, whose Gilda in Verdi's Rigoletto had left a
phenomenal impression, portrays the cunning vixen in a sequined outfit with rust-red reflections, with agile movements and her bright, flexible soprano, capable also of dramatic and piercing high notes."

Ludwigsburger Kreiszeitung

"The magnificent soprano Claudia Muschio as the vixen she is the pivot and focal point... How she internalizes the movements of the animal and brings them smoothly to the stage is as remarkable as her further acting finesse and, above all, her tremendous vocal presence and dynamism."

"Claudia Muschio sings the vixen with increasingly expansive vocal expression, yet always fragile and searching, with a warm and beautiful soprano, playing her passionately until death."

Die Deutsche Bühne

"Claudia Muschio acts and sings with crystal clarity and playful anarchy as the clever vixen."

SWR

"Claudia Muschio impresses as the wide-stance vixen with a bell-clear soprano and cheeky diction."

Schwäbische

"With her sweet, homogeneous voice and lively, confident stage acting, the Brescian singer portrayed a rebellious, cheeky Bystrouska, almost a proto-feminist in her behavior."
